Fall has "fallen" on The Bridge Urban Farms

Fall is among us with shorter days and cooler temperatures which means our urban farms are in their final stages of the season. A worker from our urban farm crew discusses this season's successes in the latest blog post of My Urban Farm.

You're Invited!

invite you to attend the OPENING RECEPTION of

REFLECTIONS

For ten weeks this summer, MoMA’s Department of Education and The Bridge Inc. participated in their fourth annual extended partnership. Through this unique collaboration, artists from The Bridge and their art teacher/art therapist met with MoMA educators every other week to explore new ideas and approaches to art at the Museum. This exhibition presents a selection of that work.

We invite you to the opening of the exhibition to not only view our client's art, but to hear from the artists, art therapists and the staff at The Museum of Modern Art and The Bridge about their experiences with this project. And did we mention this event is FREE OF CHARGE - so join us in celebrating our client's work and accomplishments! (Picture credit: Self Portrait, Michael Blamo)

WHEN: Wednesday, October 7, 2009, 4:00-5:30pm. Remarks given at 5:00pm

This Week is Mental Illness Awareness Week!

Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW) is October 4-10, designated by Congress to promote public education about serious mental illnesses such as major depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

MIAW is NAMI's (National Alliance on Mental Illness) premiere public awareness and public education campaign and we look forward to supporting their efforts to raise awareness and end the stigma of mental illness through our blog this week.
