STUFF if the newest art exhibition by The Bridge Group Artists. The annual display from The Bridge Group Artists is related to the art therapy program, which has been a powerful tool for recovery. This latest exhibit is part of the innovative approach The Bridge takes toward cultivating the success of clients.
This remarkable art exhibit and display of talent recently debuted at MoMA, and has now moved to Gallery 300. Please join us for the Grand Opening on Nov. 16, 2010 from 1:30pm to 8pm. The entire exhibit will run until Dec. 14th, 2010.
We are grateful to the following funders for their contributions to The Bridge's $25 million annual budget that gives 1,800 men and women the opportunity to lead more independent lives.
Bridge Group Artists under the direction of Art Therapist Judith Raskin Rosenthal, ATR, evolved twenty-two years ago from The Bridge Art Therapy program. Created with MoMA this mixed media exhibition concentrates on Self Portraits. Robin Holland, Portrait Photographer, donated her talent and time to photograph the nine artists that worked on their Self Portraits. Personal themes were also explored. This exhibition represents the work of eleven Bridge artists. This event is open to the public and free of charge. Refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served. 100% of the proceeds from each painting sold will go directly to the artists.

The exhibit is still open daily to the public for free at The Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building (<- click for address and directions) until October 29, 2009 (not open Tuesdays). For ten weeks this summer, MoMA’s Department of Education andThe Bridge Inc.participated in their fourth annual extended partnership. Through this unique collaboration, artists from The Bridge and their art teacher/art therapist met with MoMA educators every other week to explore new ideas and approaches to art at the Museum. This exhibition presents a selection of that work.
We invite you to the opening of the exhibition to not only view our client's art, but to hear from the artists, art therapists and the staff at The Museum of Modern Art and The Bridge about their experiences with this project.
